BARKA UK'S 7TH BIRTHDAY

BARKA UK'S 7TH BIRTHDAY

Barka UK is a charity affiliated with the Barka Foundation for Mutual Help, an organisation with a long history of supporting excluded and vulnerable people.

The foundation’s work includes social support projects, vocational training, accessible housing, self-sufficient communities and social enterprises designed to help people rebuild their lives.

Objective

Our objective was to create and deliver a memorable event for Barka UK’s 7th birthday, helping the charity celebrate its work, attract press coverage and secure support from sponsors and donors.

The event also aimed to raise funds for the charity’s future projects.

Campaign

2Sisters PR provided full PR and event management support for Barka UK.

Our work included sourcing and securing the venue, arranging catering and event staff, planning the fundraising auction, coordinating guest activity and managing the event on site.

We reached out to artists, public figures and supporters to secure auction items, including artwork by Piotr and Paweł Sochacki, signed sports merchandise, jewellery and other donated pieces.

We also arranged a live performance by Alice Zawadzki and secured sponsorship support and media coverage for the event.

The campaign focused on creating a warm, well-organised charity event that would bring people together, raise funds and increase awareness of Barka UK’s work.

Results

The event was well attended and successfully raised funds for Barka UK’s future charity work.

The fundraising auction, hosted by actor Kamil Lemiszewski, attracted strong interest from guests. One of the most popular auction items was an invitation for tea with Lord Roberts of Llandudno at the House of Lords.
